Return Policy
Our electric scooters, bicycles, children's ride-ons, mopeds, ATV's, and UTV's generally are not returnable.  With the full technical support of X-Treme's Technical Support Team most problems can be solved.  In the rare occasion that a special circumstance occurs, and a scooter return is allowed, the scooter must be packed up in it's original shipping carton or a suitable substitute, all accessories and parts must be included and you must write the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number from the manufacturer, clearly on the outside of the carton or your shipment will be refused.  Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Any scooter or other electric vehicle that arrives at the manufacturers warehouse without a valid authorized RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) clearly written on the outside of the shipping carton will be refused. Freight collect and COD packages will not be accepted. We never issue call tags. Unauthorized returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee by the manufacturer, plus the original cost of shipping.

S&H charges are not refundable if you refuse delivery (other than for damage), if you cancel an order after order is placed (see no cancellation policy below) or if you refuse to allow our technical support department to assist you in solving the problem.
Backorder Policy
You may order a vehicle that is on back order if you would like to,  but there are no guarantees on delivery date.
Shipping Policies

Our warehouse is located in Newton, Iowa.  The vehicles are shipped daily,  Monday through Thursday, during the winter monthes.  They are shipped UPS Ground to the lower 48 states, for free.  Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii needs to go by Air and those costs are additional and not included in our free shipping, but we will be happy to give you the cost before you purchase, as we charge only what it costs us.  Air Rates can be found on the UPS website by searching for rates from  zip code 50208 to your zip code.  We do not offer C.O.D.

Free ground shipping is available to the lower 48 states, directly to your door, on all of our electric scooters and Children's Ride On's.  Larger items are shipped via UPS Freight Truck.  Free shipping is available to the nearest Freight Truck Terminal on all of our larger items.  Home delivery of freight items is available for an additional charge of $50 per order (not per item).   The warehouse staff is available to ship your orders 4 days per week from 8AM to 5PM CST.  Our shipping cutoff time is generally around 12:30PM CST. Orders placed before 12:30PM CST will generally ship on the same day. Orders placed after 12:30PM CST will ship on the following business day. Please allow us 1 day for processing of all items going freight.  You will be emailed your tracking number(s) before 5PM CST on the day it ships.

California is usually 3 not 4 days, and we have received shipments here in Oregon in as little as three days also.
 

FREIGHT SHIPMENTS

**Freight Shipping:  All of our larger vehicles are shipped via UPS Truck Freight.  The following vehicles are considered larger for shipping purposes:  Electric motorcycles(mopeds), electric bicycles(and bike mopeds), ATV's, UTV's and mobility scooters.  The model numbers for these vehicles are: the XB-300 Li, XB-420M, XB-500, XB-502, XB-508, XB-562 XB-600, XB-700 Li, XA-750, XA-1000, XU-3000, XM-3000, XM-3100, XM-3500 Li, and the XM-5000 Li .  All of these vehicles are shipped by freight trucks strapped to pallets.  The carrier and tracking number can be found on the tracking number e-mail that is sent to you after your item ships. 


**ALL Freight Shipments must include the customers phone number.  If we do not receive the correct phone number of the customer, the shipment will not be shipped or delivered.  Ups will phone the customer to schedule delivery to the door.

**Freight palletized shipments going to New York City zip codes:
100-104
110-119
150-196
will incur a $100 service charge in addition to the $50 door delivery fee. Their is no exceptions for this fee as all freight carriers are charging $100 or more for these NYC zip codes.

**Freight shipped on pallets going to Martha's Vineyard Island zip codes:
025-026
will incur a $100 service charge in addition to the $50 door delivery fee for transportation on the ferry to the island. Shipments picked up on the mainland at the terminal are free.

All shipments refused at any terminal will have the shipping costs billed back to the purchaser. Please be sure you are located near a terminal and you have the capability of picking it up if you are not choosing the $50 optional door delivery service option. 

There is a place on our checkout page where you indicate whether or not you would like to pay the extra $50, to have the items shipped by Freight Truck, brought directly to your door.

Damaged Goods Policy

What is covered & what is not covered:

1. Electric Vehicle Body Damage to any plastic/fiberglass part that is a result of shipping is covered under the warranty.  Shipping damage must be reported immediately after delivery to the manufacturer to be covered under warranty. Otherwise, the plastic/fiberglass body parts are not covered under this warranty.  If, after careful inspection by our technical support department it is determined that the scooter was damaged during shipping (digital photos may be required by e-mail) , The manufacturer, X-Treme Scooters at it's discretion will supply free of charge the necessary replacement parts to fix the damaged scooter.   X-Treme will not pay labor charges to install such parts.  They will however, guide you through the process of the installation.

2. Tires, tubes & kick stands: These items are NOT covered under the warranty unless they are damaged as a result of shipping.

3. During the first 30 days of the warranty: X-Treme Scooters will replace any defective part free of charge and free of shipping charge to the end user of the electric vehicle.  X-Treme may require certain parts to be shipped back to X-Treme before replacing those parts. Shipping costs back to X-Treme must be paid for by the end user / customer. Call tags will never be issued.
