XB-700 Li Electric Bike Moped
The XB-700 Li was a new addition to our line in 2008. It is legally an electric bicycle, but it is a spry bike moped. The XB-700 Li Power Assisted Electric Bike / Bicycle has a 700 Watt Rear Hub Motor (Canada models get a 500 watt motor) similar to our XB-600 model but instead of lead acid batteries our (Li) Lithium line uses 26 Lightweight Lithium LiMn04 Ion Batteries that have a battery life of up to 7 to 10 years! In addition this new model is capable of traveling extensively further than the XB-600 due to the use of Lightweight Lithium technology as opposed to the heavy weight lead acid batteries used in previous models. It can travel 25 - 35 miles per charge at a speed of 20 MPH depending on rider weight and terrain. This is a nice spunky little moped that can be a lot of fun for you. With the rising gas prices these days Electric modes of transportation are becoming an ever more popular, and affordable necessity versus traditional modes. The XB-700 Li is both stylish and inexpensive. It is available in one color - Black right now, but blue is on back order. Because electric bicycles have a pedal system (even though they do not need to be used) there is no need for a drivers license, it does not have to be registered with the DMV. If you read the Federal Bicycle Law it shows thatwill be able to ride this bike moped any place bicycles are allowed to operate.
